Michael Laudrup: Current Barcelona Team Better Than 90's Dream Team

Former Barcelona midfielder Michael Laudrup has declared that the current crop of players at Camp Nou is better than the Dream Team on which he played in the earlier 1990's.

Under the stewarship of club legend Johan Cruyff, Barca captured four successive league titles and the first European Cup in the Blaugrana's history and while Laudrup feels that side will always be well regarded by Barca fans, he insists today's team are the best ever.

"I think we will always have a special place in the hearts of the Catalans and the club because we were the first team that Barcelona had that won many things, but the current team is the best of all," Laudrup is quoted as saying by AS.

"The club is now ready to achieve continued success. They have a style and philosophy at the club that is very nice to see and also have a coach who also has a known Catalan culture which is something that is important in both good and bad times."
