Manchester United Plan Surprise Move to Re-Sign £30m Former Striker?

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson will endeavour to resign Diego Forlan in January according to reports in Italy.
    The Atletico Madrid star has been perpetually linked with a move to the Premier League since leaving England in 2004, with Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur all reportedly coveting the Uruguayan international during his fledgling career in Spain.
    The 31-year-old has thrived in La Liga since leaving Old Trafford, initially with Villarreal and now with current club Atletico. The superb forward is being monitored by Juventus and Inter Milan, but reports in Italy suggest Manchester United are seriously considering a surprise move for their former player.
    Italian website Tuttomercatoweb.com suggest United sources have contacted Ateltico ahead of a January bid, but following their alleged interest last summer, both Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur could also endeavour to sign the ex-Red Devil.
    In January, then Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez was reportedly coveting Forlan but Atletico Madrid effectively ended any chance of a deal, by placing a £30 million valuation on the star, who would later be named as player of the tournament at the World Cup. (Sport.co.uk)

Would Sir Alex Ferguson really push to bring the Uruguayan back to Old Trafford as this source suggests? I am not sure. Certainly at the price that Atletico Madrid are demanding I would have thought it would be an expensive undertaking for a player heading towards the end of his career.

There is no doubt that the Forlan of 2010 is a marked improvement on the player who failed to make it in the Premier League. The striker has gone to have amazing success in La Liga netting an incredible 145 goals in six seasons with first Villarreal and then at Atletico.

He did of course perform wonders with his national team at the World Cup but one wonders if he would even consider leaving Spain given how well he has performed there. Sir Alex Ferguson may consider Forlan as the one who got away but in my view is unlikely to make a renewed effort to bring back him back to Manchester.

Wow, transfer market is over, not much surprise we ca see during this summer except Real Madrid. Mourinho 'the special one' once more doing his buying job but now for his new club which is hunger for a title and.................2nd season for the comeback of Florentino Perez a.k.a 'Mr Galacticos'. Both of them is like father and son to me.......haha, father use big spending money for stars and son also use big spending money but for the rising stars. Hate them??? .....me not, although my favourate team is Barcelona their very     close rival. The most historic rival until now. Ozil, Maria and Khedira were very good signing. Ozil and Maria more effective then Ronaldo, Khedira i think more better then Xabi Alonso. For you 2 Diarras, join another club if you love your career. There is no way you can be part of the new era of Galactico. Be the subtitute maybe yes but first eleven is like a dream.Maybe when Xabi and Khedira injured or against very low class club you have the chance.........

Manchester City also make a super duper mega shoping spree this season.After Sheikh Mansour buy this club, i know the citizen will travel very far on the future.......1st season for Sheikh was a mistake by hiring Mark Hughes.He not less then like a children in a candy shop with a lot of money. I hope Mancini doing a great job by only get nessesary player. Until today i dunno why Ibrahimovic moved to AC Milan. I think he was not bad last season,  and Barca not realy miss him after completing David Villa's move to Catalan club.........but Barca lack of tall attacker.........Before this, im hoping to see Mascherano play in Blaugrana shirt but now he only like rubbish...........ops sorry im too emosional.hehe, i not hate him realy much. Base on last match he played, i think he cant adopt Barca's playing style. I can see how much he struggle to help the squad but he only make chaos to his member, i only can say this .....'Rome was not built in one day'.....Mascherano needs more time..

Mourinho not the choosen one in Spain

Sekali lg Real Madrid mengejutkan peminatny dgn seri kpd klab tidak ternama Levante. Levante yg pndapatny hnya 2% dr pndapatn Real Madrid berjaya mengikat klab kendalian Jose Mourinho 0-0. Cristiano sekali lg tidak nmpak berbisa dgn memperlihatkan pembelian baru Mesut Ozil dan Di Maria lebih menyerlah. Tottenham dilaporkan berjaya menandatangani pertahanan Afrika Selatan, Bongani Khumalo dengan bayaran £1.5million dr  klab Supersport. Pemain ini akan melengkapkan perpindahan bila pintu perpindahan dibuka Januari ini.Spurs membuat bidaan kpd pmain berumur 23 tahun ini slepas membuat percubaan di White Hart lane pada Ogos lalu. Menurut Bill Muray, pakar sejarah sepak bola, dalam bukunya The World Game: A History of Soccer, sepak bola sudah dimainkan sejak awal Masehi. Saat itu, orang-orang di era Mesir Kuno sudah mengenal permainan membawa dan menendang bola yang dibuat dari buntalan kain linen. Sejarah Yunani Purba juga mencatat ada sebuah permainan yang disebut episcuro, permainan menggunakan bola. Bukti itu tergambar pada relief-relief di dinding museum yang melukiskan anak muda memegang bola bulat dan memainkannya dengan paha.

Sepak bola juga disebut-sebut berasal dari daratan Cina. Dalam sebuah dokumen militer disebutkan, sejak 206 SM, pada masa pemerintahan Dinasti Tsin dan Han, orang-orang sudah memainkan permainan bola yang disebut tsu chu. Tsu mempunyai arti "menerjang bola dengan kaki". Sedangkan chu, berarti "bola dari kulit dan ada isinya". Mereka bermain bola yang terbuat dari kulit binatang dengan cara menendang dan menggiringnya ke sebuah jaring yang dibentangkan pada dua tiang.
